Debbie Thrower is the founder of BRF Ministries' Anna Chaplaincy, and a Vice President of the charity.
Catriona Foster was pastor for older people for 18 years at St John’s Church in Harborne, Birmingham, before retiring in 2025, and was a founding member of the Anna Chaplaincy national network.
After a career in nursing and nurse education, the Revd Sally Rees was ordained in the Church in Wales with a remit to develop older people’s ministry in her ministry area and also given a diocesan role as bishop’s officer for older people. She pioneered Anna Chaplaincy in Wales across several denominations, and on stepping down from this national role became a freelance trainer for Anna Chaplaincy at BRF Ministries and coordinator for Swansea and Brecon Diocese.
Julia Burton-Jones is the Anna Chaplaincy Training and Development Lead at BRF Ministries.

There is a dishwasher, but it just sits and stares with reproach at me. I don’t care. When I do the dishes I switch off. I do a simple action that has a start, middle and end. I’ll do it again in the near future, but those particular few dishes are completed. I need to do the dishes on my own but that is likely part of my many personality issues. I feel thirsty, I know I am thirsty but I need to intentionally and deliberately drink to experience the 'hydrated soul' through which life and energy can flow to bring refreshment to the parched spirit of others.
